Electrification and the shift to fossil-free energy present tremendous opportunities for individuals, companies, and society. Ingrid Capacity, an energy tech company founded in 2022, is dedicated to overcoming some of the toughest obstacles in the green transition through innovative technology and pioneering software development. We develop and optimize flexible energy assets, such as large-scale battery energy storage, to store electricity when there is a surplus and return it when there is a shortage. This ensures grid stability, increases the adoption of renewable energy sources like wind and solar, and maximizes grid utilization cost-effectively.

Currently, Ingrid Capacity is experiencing rapid growth, through the expansion of energy storage in Sweden and further international expansion on the horizon. We have approximately 200 MW under construction, over 200 MW entering the construction phase, and a development pipeline exceeding 7 GW across Europe. Our headquarters are located in Stockholm, Sweden.

About the Role

As the Head of Origination, you will play a crucial role in Ingrid Capacity’s growth across Europe. You will manage the origination of revenue streams, overcome challenges, mitigate risk and give clear insight into future strategic opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Energy Portfolio Leadership: Build and lead the Energy Portfolio function, including recruiting team members over time.
• Contract Origination: Lead the origination of capacity contracts with public and private counterparties in target markets. Maximise revenue streams through originating contracts to help further grow pipeline.
• Contract Negotiation: Structure and negotiate bankable contracts, taking into consideration the characteristics of underlying physical assets and asset portfolios.
• Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, counterparties and offtakers in target markets.
• Revenue Strategies: Work closely with the Energy Trading team in building and assessing revenue strategies on an ongoing basis.
• Strategic Support: Work closely with the Executive teams when entering into new projects and markets to support investment decisions.
• Analytical Approach: Lead an analytical approach in assessing risk-adjusted return profiles of various revenue strategies.
• Client Interaction: Handle the initial interaction with new clients, to the finalization and closing of contracts.
• Proposal Development: Develop compelling proposals for tenders, liaising with Ingrid Capacity’s internal teams.

• Project Customization: Working closely with internal and external teams to tailor the best solution for each client.

Your Experience and Skills:

• University degree in a relevant field such as finance, business, engineering, or management.
• Over 10 years of experience in energy trading, development, energy portfolio management, or origination and structuring of complex energy projects or energy sales agreements (e.g., PPAs, CFDs).
• Proven track record of working at a senior level within a leading energy business in Europe. Preference for experience in Nordic market and in Germany.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
