Trading back office analyst
Do you want to be part of facilitating the green transition? Do you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your actions drive meaningful change? Do you enjoy solving hard problems together with ambitious people? If this sounds like you, this could be a perfect match.
Join us to facilitate the green transition
Electrification and the transition to fossil-free energy create fantastic opportunities for us as individuals, as a company, and for society at large. However, it also creates challenges, especially for our energy system. Ingrid Capacity is an energy tech company founded in 2022, and we are determined to solve some of the hardest challenges that stand in the way of the green transition by leveraging new technology and pioneering software development. We develop and optimize flexible energy assets such as large-scale battery energy storage to store electricity when there is a production surplus and return it to the system when there is a shortage. This ensures the stability of the grid, increases the uptake of renewable energy sources such as wind and solar, and maximizes the utilization of the grid in a cost-efficient manner. Today, Ingrid Capacity is in a rapid growth phase with a historic expansion of energy storage in Sweden, while also expanding internationally. We currently have approximately 200 MW in operation, over 200 MW in construction phase, and a total development pipeline of over 4 GW across Europe.
About the role

You will play a key role in helping us build and scale our operations. This role involves tracking, maintaining, and updating key structural information — such as balancing plans and other critical operational data. You will also be responsible for managing various types of contracts, ensuring documentation is up to date and aligned with commercial and regulatory requirements. In addition, you will work closely with third-party partners to monitor performance and ensure alignment with agreed commitments.
You will report to Head of Markets and will liaise with the Ingrid teams internally to understand how we can achieve our goals in the best way, as well as externally by maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic and fast-paced scale-up environment.

The role spans across two focus areas. You will work closely with the trading, legal, and finance teams to support day-to-day operations and ensure smooth cross-departmental coordination.
Contractual Management Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day operational tasks related to energy trading and balancing, ensuring the smooth reconciliation of energy transactions.
- Administer and update balancing plans and other critical structural information related to energy market participation.
- Monitor and manage actual balancing positions, imbalances, and settlement processes to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal standards — including ensuring alignment between reported and actual trading volumes.
- Support the tracking and management of contractual obligations related to balancing services, grid access, and third-party optimisation agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of key commercial contracts (e.g. grid connection, offtake, tolling, optimisation) and ensure they are properly reflected in operational and trading data.
- Liaise with internal teams (commercial, trading, legal, finance) to ensure alignment between contractual terms and operational execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and ensure consistent, contract-compliant workflows across the organisation.
Alignment with External Partners
- Follow up with external partners, including counterparties, service providers, and market participants, to ensure the alignment of their commitments with actual performance.
- Monitor and track delivery against partner agreements, including energy delivery volumes, balancing obligations, and contractual terms.
- Address discrepancies between partner commitments and actual deliveries, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with partners to resolve any issues related to commercial, balancing, or settlement discrepancies.
Your work experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Energy Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in the energy sector, particularly in back-office operations or energy trading
- Knowledge of energy markets and balancing services governing energy operations.
- Familiarity with financial settlements and reconciliation processes in energy markets is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, ability to process complex data and administer and track complex structural information (e.g., balancing plans).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; familiarity with energy trading platforms or other energy management software is a plus.
- Ability to follow up and manage third-party relationships, ensuring partners meet contractual and operational obligations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with both internal teams and external partners, addressing any issues related to trading, balancing, or third-party partnerships.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment.
