Senior Asset Analytics Engineer
Do you want to be part of facilitating the green transition? Do you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your actions drive meaningful change? Do you enjoy solving hard problems together with ambitious people? If this sounds like you, this could be a perfect match.
Join us to facilitate the green transition
Electrification and the transition to fossil-free energy create fantastic opportunities for us as individuals, as a company, and for society at large. However, it also creates challenges, especially for our energy system. Ingrid Capacity is an energy tech company founded in 2022, and we are determined to solve some of the hardest challenges that stand in the way of the green transition by leveraging new technology and pioneering software development. We develop and optimize flexible energy assets such as large-scale battery energy storage to store electricity when there is a production surplus and return it to the system when there is a shortage. This ensures the stability of the grid, increases the uptake of renewable energy sources such as wind and solar, and maximizes the utilization of the grid in a cost-efficient manner. Today, Ingrid Capacity is in a rapid growth phase with a historic expansion of energy storage in Sweden, while also expanding internationally. We currently have approximately 200 MW under construction, over 200 MW entering the construction phase, and a total development pipeline of over 4 GW across Europe.
About the role
Are you a highly analytical and commercially minded individual with a passion for energy systems and data-driven decision making? We’re looking for someone to take a leading role in developing and executing performance analytics across our growing portfolio of grid-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS). To thrive in this role, you should bring a strong technical background—ideally with proven experience from BESS and/or the electricity grid. You combine technical depth with a strategic mindset and are eager to build scalable solutions that turn data into real operational impact.
In this role, you will sit at the intersection of business and technology, helping to shape the future of asset management at Ingrid Capacity. You’ll be responsible for building our data-driven asset management framework—integrating monitoring tools, refining analytics, and working closely with our in-house tech and engineering teams to optimize performance. A key part of the role is also to ensure a structured feedback loop to engineering, procurement and construction, so that insights from operations directly improve the design and execution of our future projects across the Nordics and Europe.
This is a unique opportunity to combine technical insight, commercial thinking, and hands-on execution in a fast-moving and high-impact environment. As a Senior Asset Analytics Engineer, you will report directly to the Head of Asset Management and play a central part in scaling one of Europe’s leading BESS portfolios.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the asset performance strategy, with focus on data-driven technical and commercial asset optimization, long-term asset health and warranty management.
- Ownership of the Asset Management data platform, incl. develop and lead the long-term buildup of required data, tools and system infrastructure for the Asset management function
- Establish and run processes for performance analysis, deviation handling, and corrective actions in close collaboration with the rest of the team and key service providers
- Drive structured feedback loops to earlier stages of projects, aligning asset management requirements and insights with design, procurement, and construction
- Support real-time operations and strategic decisions through system KPI tracking, ad-hoc technical analysis (e.g., SAT, PQ, troubleshooting), and clear, data-driven insights to internal teams and engineering.
Your work experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience, e.g. within asset management, asset operations, performance engineering, or analytics within the energy or infrastructure sector.
- Proven track record of relevant work related to grid-connected energy assets and infrastructure — ideally in battery energy storage systems (BESS).
- Experience from developing and deploying data platforms, analytical tools, and supporting system infrastructure is highly desirable.
- Experience with commissioning and transitioning assets from construction to operation is valuable.
- Familiarity with European power markets and ancillary services is an advantage.
Your skills
- Proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced), Python, or similar, and comfortable working with dedicated asset analytics or performance softwares.
- Solid technical understanding of grid-scale energy assets, energy management systems, and the electricity grid.
- Strong ability to connect technical performance with commercial outcomes, providing actionable recommendations for optimization.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to initiate and manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, able to convey complex insights clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Collaborative team player who can also work independently, taking full ownership and initiative.
- Proactive and hands-on, comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving progress in a dynamic setting.
- Sound understanding of cost structures, OPEX budgeting, and financial modelling is a plus.
- Understanding of commercial contracts (service agreements, availability guarantees, performance warranties) is a benefit.
Your education
- Degree in Engineering, Energy Systems, Computer science, Mathematics or a related field, supplemented by industry experience.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbally.
In addition to the above, we are looking for a problem solver who trusts her/his own ability to take decisions into action. To succeed in this role you have a positive attitude, and you enjoy teamwork. We believe that you enjoy taking responsibility and work in a fast-paced environment. Further, we believe that you have strong business acumen, an interest in technology and strong communication and people skills as you will collaborate closely with internal colleagues as well as external stakeholders and suppliers.
