Senior BESS Asset Manager
About us
Ingrid was born out of a simple belief: the energy transition must move faster and work smarter. We're pioneers at the forefront of the global energy transition — pushing boundaries, turning bold ideas into reality, and solving the problems that matter most.
The INtelligent GRID of tomorrow needs to absorb and release more power. We develop, build and operate high-performance batteries — the lungs of modern energy infrastructure — enabling a more flexible and resilient energy supply across Europe. With 500 MW already deployed across the Nordics and rapid expansion into continental Europe, we manage, optimise and trade both our own assets and those of third parties through our sophisticated tech platform, making every battery — and the entire grid — stronger.
About the role
Do you have proven asset management experience in renewable energy — preferably BESS — and a strong data-driven mindset?
We’re looking for a Senior BESS Asset Manager to take full ownership of a part of our fast-growing portfolio of grid-scale battery energy storage systems. In this role you oversee the technical and commercial performance of the assets we manage and work closely with the stakeholders who supports it — OEM and O&M partners, optimisation and trading teams, engineering, and our co-investors — to reach the optimum performance of every asset. Separately, you will help build our asset management function of the future — data-driven, scalable, and designed for a portfolio that keeps growing.
You will report directly to the Head of Asset Management and play a key role in scaling one of Europe’s leading BESS portfolios. Expect occasional travel within Sweden and the Nordics for site visits
Asset Management at Ingrid
The Asset Management team is responsible for the technical and commercial performance of the assets we manage once they are in operations. This is a hands-on team with real accountability — we work shoulder to shoulder with optimisation and trading teams, engineering and finance, and report directly to management and co-investors. And because the portfolio is growing fast, much of the playbook is still unwritten: the processes and analytics we build today become the standard for every asset that follows.
What you'll do
Technical Performance & BESS analytics: Monitor and analyse BESS technical performance), and lead root-cause analyses to minimise downtime and safeguard dispatch accuracy across the fleet, and feedback learnings to engineering team.
Site Management and Maintenance Planning: Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with internal and external stakeholders, scheduling work to minimise interruptions to market participation and revenue, while ensuring compliance with safety, grid and HSE requirements.
Commercial Management: Own, manage and procure service agreements to ensure optimum service set up, follow up on warranties and commercial terms, and enforce supplier accountability.
Commercial Performance & Financial Oversight: Track revenue, costs and P&L performance, own budgeting and financial models, and collaborate with the commercial teams to link technical performance to commercial outcomes. Report to management and co-investors.
Lifecycle Asset Strategy: Own the long-term asset strategy — degradation, augmentation and end-of-life planning, long-term cost and risk management, and revenue-enhancing opportunities over the asset lifetime.
Data-Driven Asset Management: Build and own data-driven processes for performance optimisation across the fleet, putting analytics and AI tools to work in daily asset management and shaping a scalable operating model that grows with the portfolio.
Your work experience and skills:
5–8+ years of relevant experience in asset management, operations, performance engineering or commercial analytics within the energy or infrastructure sector.
Proven experience with grid-connected assets — ideally BESS or renewables (wind/solar).
Experience commissioning and transitioning assets from construction to operations is highly valuable, as is familiarity with European power markets and ancillary services.
Comfortable working with data analytics tools such as Excel (advanced), Power BI, Python or similar platforms.
Familiar with service and supply agreements, claims management and performance warranties
Proven ability to scale processes across sites and link technical performance to commercial outcomes.
University degree in Engineering, Energy Systems or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
Fluent in English (written and verbal); Swedish or Finnish is a plus.
Your personal skills
To be a good match with the role and the growth stage Ingrid is in, we believe you are comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment and taking full ownership of your role and driving your area.
Key personal traits include an analytical mindset, structured problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise. Lastly, as a key part of our business, you collaborate and interact with investors as well as senior stakeholders, understanding how asset management operates in synergy with the other functions.
