Senior Legal Counsel
About us
Ingrid was born out of a simple belief: the energy transition must move faster and work smarter. We're pioneers at the forefront of the global energy transition — pushing boundaries, turning bold ideas into reality, and solving the problems that matter most.
The INtelligent GRID of tomorrow needs to absorb and release more power. We develop, build and operate high-performance batteries — the lungs of modern energy infrastructure — enabling a more flexible and resilient energy supply across Europe. With 500 MW already deployed across the Nordics and rapid expansion into continental Europe, we manage, optimise and trade both our own assets and those of third parties through our sophisticated tech platform, making every battery — and the entire grid — stronger.
About the role
We’re looking for Senior Legal Counsel to join Ingrid at an exciting stage of growth. This is a broad role where you will support the business across a wide range of legal matters while putting some extra focus on our transaction activities as we scale our business in Europe.
You will join a fast-growing and dynamic environment where priorities evolve quickly, giving you the opportunity to influence how legal processes and structures are built as we grow. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will support teams in navigating complex decisions, manage risk and drive strategic initiatives forward. This is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, balancing legal risk with commercial realities, and contributing to the long-term success of the business.
You will report to our General Counsel.
What you'll do
As Ingrid grows and evolve over time, so will the scope of this role. While your broad task is to act as a trusted legal advisor and support the business across all functions, here is what your role will cover:
Play a key role in transaction processes, including M&A and strategic growth initiatives.
Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements and other legal documentation.
Provide guidance on corporate governance, compliance and general corporate matters.
Support the establishment of new corporate structures and international expansion initiatives.
Work closely with procurement, transaction, strategy and project teams to enable business objectives.
Manage day-to-day legal matters, including interactions with regulatory authorities and company registration bodies.
Identify legal risks proactively and provide pragmatic, business-oriented solutions.
Collaborate with external counsel and advisors when needed.
Your work experience:
Senior experience from general corporate law, M&A and transactions.
Experience from a law firm (required) and in-house legal function or secondment (strongly preferred).
Experience working in a high-growth environment.
Law degree (LL.M. or equivalent).
Strong commercial understanding and ability to provide practical legal advice.
Fluency in English (required) and Swedish (advantage, but not required).
Experience from the energy sector (advantage, but not required).
Your personal skills
You’re a self-driven and business-oriented professional who enjoys taking ownership and working independently while knowing when to seek input and collaborate with others. You combine strong commercial judgement with a pragmatic approach to legal problem-solving, enabling you to balance legal risk with business objectives.
To thrive in this role, you are curious, ambitious and eager to learn about our business and industry to understand the broader context in which we operate. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where not everything is fully defined, and you are comfortable navigating change, setting priorities and finding practical solutions.
